Akaroa is on Banks Peninsula in the South Island of New Zealand. It is a small coastal village, nestled in the crater of an extinct volcano, now a large open harbour, just over an hours drive from central Christchurch. The Akaroa Coastal Cottage is a five minute drive and is within walking distance from the Akaroa township.
